Confirmation is a time when a person publicly affirms their faith. It truly is a faith-centered choice. While confirmation is not a “means of grace”, it is an appropriate (and important) next step in a person’s faith journey.
 
In confirmation, an individual personally:
  • declares Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
  • commits to taking personal ownership of their faith
  • pledges their own allegiance to Christ;
  • places themselves under the authority of Jesus and His local church
  • promises to continue becoming more like Jesus through regular worship, being part of a group, and serving
