Our Volunteer Ministry exists to reflect the love of Jesus as is written in 1 Peter 4:10, “Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” Being a part of St. Mark’s means both serving within the walls of our church and being Christ’s ambassadors to the world by reaching out and sharing our time and talents with others.

Opportunities for spiritual growth and service are abundant at St. Mark’s – and the rewards for you and others are tremendous! We have mant different ways that you can serve and our Ministry Team is ready to help you find the perfect fit! Children’s Ministry

Help shepherd kids by helping with check-in, crafts, games, or leading a group of kids to learn about and experience the love of Jesus during our 9:00am and 10:30am services.

Card Care

Write cards to a variety of people to demonstrate Jesus’ encouragement, joy, and love. Each week, you’ll receive an assignment. You write them; we’ll send them. It’s that simple!

Visitation

Are you passionate about improving the lives of people around you? This team visits people who are sick or those who are homebound, providing them prayer and encouragement.

Faith Formation Group

Do you enjoy junior high students? Then, Faith Formation Group might be for you. Help students in 6th – 8th grade get to know Jesus by hanging out with them and leading them in conversation, each week

Illuminate

Enjoy hanging out with high schoolers? Then Illuminate is your place to serve! Students gather on Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as throughout the week to share life and experience the love of Jesus in everyday life.

Worship Arts

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with music. From choir to brass and praise band to media team; there’s a place for you to express the joy of Jesus through music and the arts. All artists welcome!

Hospitality

Do you enjoy making a space welcoming to guests? Serve at our food table setting out snacks and drinks, welcome desk answering people’s questions, door greeter smiling, or service usher helping people find seats.

Facilities

If you’re the person everyone calls when they need a hand, you’re perfect for our Facilities Team! Whether you’re an expert plumber or amateur painter there is always a project for you. Work tends to be seasonal or as needed.

Safety and Security

Do you have professional law enforcement, medical, or emergency management experience? We need you and those who know CPR and First Aid to help keep people safe as they worship and serve on the weekends and during the week.

Finance

Want to serve behind the scenes? Do you enjoy counting and managing numbers? Counters are responsible to accurately count, track, and report contributions among various funds collected during services.

Decor/Environment

Do you enjoy decorating or have an eye for visual designs? Help us plan backdrops, lobby pieces, and other art pieces for worship and for general use around our ministry sites. Work tends to be seasonal and as needed.
